Chevrolet’s 2025 Corvette lineup includes the Stingray, E-Ray, Z06, and ZR1 models, with a starting price range of $68,300-$180,000. The Stingray offers exceptional entry-level value for its performance and luxury, which can seamlessly fulfill daily driving demands. An E-Ray model contains a hybrid powertrain for those seeking increased efficiency without transitioning to a fully electric powertrain. The Z06 and newly-revived ZRL, a nameplate Chevrolet hasn’t used since 2009, are the highest-performing 2025 Corvette variants.
MotoPickers Rating: 9.5/10
Regarding what’s new, Chevrolet introduces two exterior colors: competition yellow tint coat metallic and hysteria purple metallic. New interior colors include Habanero and another with black upholstery featuring contrasting blue stitching. The Z51 performance package for the 2025 Corvette Stingray flaunts a fresh rear spoiler, leather-wrapped steering wheel airbag cover, and velocity yellow brake calipers. The 2025 Corvette lineup is part of the model’s eighth generation, which launched in 2020.
While there’s no stick shift option for 2025 Corvettes, we have a feeling you’ll be pleased with its performance, tech, and design, both inside and out. However, we’ll be sure to highlight any potential drawbacks that might warrant a purchase of a competing vehicle, like BMW’s M4, Ford’s Mustang, Toyota’s GR Supra, Nissan’s Z, and Porsche’s Porsche 718 Cayman GTS 4.0.
Exterior spotlight
The 2025 base Corvette Stingray contains 19” front and 20” rear wheels with Pearl Nickel forged aluminum and plenty of flashy exterior options. Drivers can cover the 2025 Stingray LT2’s engine cover in edge red or sterling silver and adjust the rear spoiler and front splitter to contain a lower profile. Painting the rear Corvette script in arctic white or torch red helps this car turn more heads, while dark stealth crossed flags emblem and body-color high-wing spoiler signal a performance emphasis.
A 2025 Corvette E-Ray offers many of the same exterior options as its Stingray counterpart, and then some, with available offerings like E-Ray Badges in rapid blue and carbon flash, electric blue full-length dual racing stripes, and larger wheels measuring 20” in the front and 21” in the rear. Like the Stingray, E-Ray drivers can equip their exteriors with a high-wing spoiler. The 2025 Corvette Z06 distinguishes its exterior with exclusive Z06 badges available in edge red.
The ZR1 ups the ante with its purposeful exterior, elevating aerodynamics with wide-side air inlets, carbon fiber components, and a plethora of airflow and cooling features. A newly-introduced intercooler with a flow-through hood and spoiler cools turbocharged air for airflow extraction, while the front splitter works in conjunction with an underwing and smooth underbody to create suction under the car, lowering drag.
A ZR1’s sizable side inlets contain carbon-fiber wishbone bezels, and its new rear brake cooling ducts further optimize air intake. The ZR1’s rear is striking with its split window and hatch intakes, which look great while promoting better engine bay cooling.
All 2025 Corvette models offer coupe or convertible configurations in addition to multiple dual racing stripe configurations for increased curb appeal and exterior versatility. Chevrolet’s customization opportunities for the 2025 Corvette are also detailed enough to allow you to make minor adjustments to complement more commanding exterior design features, like selecting chrome or black lug nuts.
Interior analysis
A base Corvette Stingray contains GT1 bucket seats, which provide everyday comfort and support during high-performance drives. Upper Stingray trims contain GT2 bucket seats with features like ventilation and increased bolstering. Competition sport bucket seats are optional for track enthusiasts. The 2025 Corvette seats two passengers and offers materials like synthetic suede, leather, genuine metal, and an intricately stitched headliner. The 3LT package boasts the highest-quality materials, including carbon fiber and sewn leather.
Coupe models contain a removable roof and can fit inside the trunk containing 12.5 cubic feet (cu. ft.) of storage divided between front and rear compartments. Chevrolet offers 2025 Corvette buyers optional premium leather weekend/travel bags so you can make the most of your limited storage.
All 2025 Corvettes have a squared-off steering wheel with a microfiber-wrapped suede option. HVAC controls are vertically mounted on a slim column between the driver and passenger seats. Torch red seat belts on all trims provide additional cabin character, while two-tone seats add design versatility.
Interior color options for the 2025 Corvette ZR1 include:
- Jet black
- Adrenaline red
- Jet black/adrenaline red
- Jet black/habanero
- Twilight blue/tension blue
- Jet black/sky cool gray
- Artemis
- Jet black/natural
- Natural dipped
The 2025 ZR1’s Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) designer, Emma Mikalauskas, said: “We definitely wanted to focus on luxury materials, so really getting the quality Nappa leather, those heavier stitches, and making sure the accent details were all honed in.”
By comparison, Ford’s Mustang has seats that offer similarly high levels of support but a less track-oriented design and more attention to luxury finishes. Drivers who prefer a round steering wheel shape might be better suited to a Porsche 911 Carrera. Separate rivals, like Audi’s R8, have a round steering wheel with a flat bottom for a hybrid blend.
Power and performance
Corvette Stingray
The 2025 Corvette Stingray has an eight-speed automated manual transmission and a rear-wheel drive (RWD) configuration. Its 6.2-liter V8 gets a decent 19 combined MPG, with 16 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. Horsepower registers at 490, and torque is 465 lb-ft. A rear limited slip differential is standard, and the suspension is four-wheel independent with a front and rear stabilizer bar.
Corvette E-Ray
A 2025 Corvette E-Ray includes all-wheel drive (AWD) capability, all-season tires, and its hybrid powertrain, producing 655 horsepower and 595 lb-ft of torque. Drivers can use the 2025 Corvette E-Ray’s 1.1 kWh battery pack to travel up to 45 MPH on pure electric power via Stealth mode. This variant excels in cornering grip and can optimize its performance during warmer months with optional summer tires. Expect to go from 0-60 MPH behind the wheel of this sporty hybrid in 2.5 seconds. City/highway MPG is 12/21.
Corvette Z06
The 2025 Corvette Z06 shifts back to RWD and offers an impressive 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque via its 5.5-liter V8 engine. Mileage is lower than its Stingray counterpart at a combined 15 MPG. Performance enthusiasts will likely be pleased with this Corvette variant’s exhaust note, which is reminiscent of a supercar. Consider opting for the available lighter yet durable carbon fiber wheels to optimize this car’s speed.
ZR1
Chevrolet’s 2025 Corvette ZR1 delivers a monstrous 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque. This variant redlines at 8,000 RPM, contains a LT7 5.5-liter DOHC V8 engine, and travels from 0-60 MPH in 2.5 seconds. The 2025 Corvette ZR1’s engine contains a secondary port fuel-injection system for increased fuel delivery.
Tech
Corvette Stingray
A 2025 Corvette Stingray contains an 8” display and a Bose premium sound system with 14 speakers and two subwoofers. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard along with speed-sensitive volume control. A wireless smartphone charging area further reduces cabin clutter while an interior air filtration system keeps things clean. Chevrolet offers a sun sensor feature within the Stingray, which detects sunlight intensity entering the cabin to automatically refine cabin controls in areas like climate.
Corvette E-Ray
The 2025 Corvette E-Ray similarly has an 8” display but features fewer speakers at 10. Other than the sound system, differences include hybrid-specific displays for monitoring data like battery usage through the E-Ray performance app or the new driver information screens. A standard head-up display projecting driving metrics onto the windshield within a driver’s line of sight, such as speed, adds convenience, while a rear camera mirror enhances environmental awareness. Side mirrors contain a power-folding design.
Corvette Z06
Chevrolet’s 2025 Corvette contains many of the same tech features as the E-Ray and Stingray, but shares the E-Ray’s 10-speaker configuration. Additional Z06 tech features we’ll cover relate to its performance.
This Corvette variant boasts a more capable performance traction management system than the previous two trims with its design tailored for track use. The acclaimed exhaust note emerging from the 2025 Corvette Z06 is specifically tuned for the model’s flat-plane crank V8.
ZR1
Opting for a 3LZ 2025 Corvette ZR1 instead of the 1LZ trim will give you front and rear-facing cameras instead of solely a rear camera. Ventilation tech within the 1LZ grade keeps you cool, and the convertible has a retractable hardtop within the 1LZ and 3LZ. GT1 or competition bucket seats contain 8-way power adjustments, and the diagonal instrument cluster measures 12”. The ZRL 3LZ trim offers 14 speakers instead of the 1LZ’s 10.
Safety capabilities
Standard safety features within 2025 Corvette models include:
- Lane-keep assist
- Pre- and post-collision safety system
- Automated emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection
- Remote anti-theft alarm system
- Engine immobilizer
Lane keeps assist, and lane departure warns you when you’re drifting outside your lane’s lines without a turn signal by activating audio and visual alerts before implementing gentle assistive steering if necessary. The pre-and post-collision system utilizes features like automatic emergency braking to help drivers avoid or mitigate collisions with other cars, cyclists, and pedestrians. In contrast, the remote anti-theft alarm system and engine immobilizer deter thieves.
However, blind-spot monitoring is an available feature we’d prefer to see as standard, especially when you’re spending upwards of $100,000 or more. It’s worth noting that the 2025 Corvette’s warranty is nothing special. Drivers receive a limited warranty for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first, and a powertrain warranty for five years or 60,000 miles. Buyers receive complimentary maintenance for their first appointment.
Neither the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) nor the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) have released crash protection ratings for the 2025 Corvette or its 2024 model-year predecessor.
Trim guide
Below, you’ll find starting prices for each of the 2025 Corvette’s variants:
- Stingray ($68,300)
- E-Ray ($106,900)
- Z06 ($112,100)
- Z71 ($180,000)
You may be surprised to learn that we prefer the Z06’s value proposition over the all-new Z71. The Z06’s exhaust note is more favorable than the ZR1, especially when you’re hitting the throttle while downshifting during instances like turns. The ZR1’s exhaust is noticeably less crisp, which is a significant drawback for performance enthusiasts looking to optimize their experience behind the wheel.
Drivers also need to consider that the ZR1 cooling system will weigh more than the Z06’s since it needs to work harder to manage higher horsepower levels. Regarding pricing, the Z06 is clearly significantly lower, but its value extends beyond this price gap. Since Chevrolet is manufacturing more 2025 Z06 models than its top-of-the-link ZR1, you’re more likely to score a shopping deal as dealerships look to clear inventory. Don’t forget that the Z06 has an 8,500 RPM redline, whereas the ZR1 tops out at 8,000 RPM.
Final verdict
While we prefer the 2025 Corvette Z06, you can’t go wrong with any trim in this production year’s lineup. The entry-level Stingray offers exceptional value and doesn’t cut corners on infotainment features, especially its 14-speaker system. The hybrid E-Ray supplies drivers with the ability to travel locally up to 45 miles on all-electric power while enjoying the combined net horsepower much higher than the Stingray’s. Track enthusiasts will revel in the Z06’s exhaust note, while Z71 buyers get a car giving rivals like Ferrari a run for their money.
The 2022 Acura NSX is another vehicle we’ve reviewed that has received a reputation for its ability to double as a daily driver. Still, the 2025 Corvette lineup is far more practical with its increased storage capacity, various seating options, and prices that are mostly less expensive than the average 2022 NSX in today’s market.
Buying/long-term value and performance aren’t common in the automotive industry, but the 2025 Corvette strikes a delicate balance in these areas that makes it one of the most attractive new sports cars available. Chevrolet’s 2025 Corvette deserves a 9.5/10 rating.
