The 2025 Chrysler Pacifica is a minivan with seating for seven to eight passengers starting at $42,450. Chrysler’s Pacifica was the US’ best-selling minivan in 2023 thanks to features like its Stow ‘n Go seating system facilitating simple folding and storage of second-row seats and PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) options—all while checking off the essential requirements for a minivan such as solid cargo space, a spacious cabin, and family entertainment options.
MotoPickers Rating: 8.4/10
While changes aren’t dramatic for the 2025 model year Pacifica, alterations include:
- Nixing two trims, lowering the lineup from five to three grades
- Adding features like premium carpets and an auto-dimming rearview mirror to the base trim
- Standardizing the S Appearance Package with darkened trim elements on the Limited grade
There’s a relatively high chance that Chrysler will significantly refresh the Pacifica for its 2026 production year, but the model’s 2025 version remains part of the minivan’s first generation dating back to 2017.
The 2025 Pacifica’s strengths include but aren’t limited to its ability to seamlessly transition between hauling people and increased cargo loads, offer all-wheel drive (AWD) capability, quality visibility, and a refined interior. We’ll also dive into its drawbacks, which can affect comfort, performance, and durability aspects. Our review will primarily compare the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica with the 2025 Honda Odyssey since the Odyssey was the second-best-selling minivan behind the Pacifica.
Exterior spotlight
Chrysler’s 2025 Pacifica offers wheel sizes measuring 17”-20”. Specific wheel designs include 17” painted tech silver wheels, 18” full polish high gloss clear wheels, 20” foreshadow wheels, and 20” polished wheels with painted baltic gray pockets. Drivers who select larger wheels can opt for other standout exterior features such as dark trim accents, black anodized ink badging, and the black Stow ‘N Place roof rack system.
LED tech is present within headlamps, daytime running lamps (DRLs), fog lamps, and tail lamps to increase your visibility behind the wheel and help others spot you on the road. However, perimeter approach lights are an option.
Drivers seeking optimal convenience can select available hands-free power sliding doors and the available hands-free power liftgate for more accessible vehicle entries, exits, and cargo loading/unloading. Still, we feel that features such as running boards and side steps should be standard across this Chrysler trim lineup.
Exterior color options include:
- Bright White Clear-Coat Paint
- Diamond Black Crystal Pearl-Coat Paint
- Ceramic Gray Clear-Coat Paint
- Fathom Blue Pearl-Coat Paint
- Red Hot Pearl-Coat Paint
Heated side mirrors and a rear lip spoiler come standard, but the dual-pane panoramic sunroof with an express open-and-close feature isn’t present within the base trim. The front grille is relatively conservative, and the exterior as a whole contains a more traditional minivan shape that you won’t find with the 2025 Honda Odyssey’s rear.
Chrysler’s 2025 Pacifica has a larger wheel size selection than its Odyssey counterpart, which is limited to 18” and 19” choices. Still, as the Pacifica shows signs of aging, the Odyssey has redesigned its exterior with new front/rear bumpers and a fresh fog light configuration placed below turn signal indicators and DRLs.
The Odyssey furthers its contemporary look by wrapping the darkened rear windows around the vehicle’s back. However, it’s worth noting that the Pacifica has a lot more standard LED exterior lighting than the Odyssey.
Interior close-up
Chrysler’s 2025 Pacifica has an upscale-looking interior that manifests itself through elements like available quilted sepia Nappa leather, leather, and leatherette upholstery, second-row lumbar pillows, and blackened accents. The steering wheel also has leather wrapping. The integrated vacuum helps keep this interior looking upscale.
This Chrysler contains 32.3 cubic feet (cu. ft.) of cargo capacity behind the third row, 87.5 cu. ft. behind the second row, and 140.5 cu. ft. with the second and third rows folded. Chrysler’s signature Stow ‘n Go design makes folding and storing the second-row seats easy, whereas the 2025 Honda Odyssey lacks this intuitive design. You’ll also find in-floor storage bins you can utilize when the seats aren’t stowed.
With 243 different seating configurations, it’s easy to transition between transporting more people and cargo. However, the 2025 Pacifica’s second-row seats could benefit from more comfort.
Interior color schemes include:
- Black Caprice with Light Diesel Stitching
- Black with Light Diesel Stitching and Light Diesel Piping
- Sepia with Light Diesel Stitching and Sydney Gray Piping
An auto-dimming rearview mirror automatically adjusts to reduce glare from following cars’ lights, and you can activate dual-zone climate control with your voice. All trims have heated front seats, as does the Odyssey. You can also opt for available front seat ventilation and optional heated rear seats. Available adjustable pedals further enhance interior convenience.
Honda’s 2025 Odyssey has 32.8 cu. ft. of cargo space behind the third row, slightly more of storage behind the second row measuring 86.6 cu. ft., and near-equivalent room behind the front seats at 140.7 cu. ft. The Odyssey beats the Pacifica with tri-zone automatic climate control instead of dual-zone, but doesn’t contain a built-in vacuum. Honda’s Odyssey also offers optional heated and ventilated front seats, but we prefer the Pacifica with its ability to more easily remove and store second-row seats.
Power and performance
Unlike the 2025 Honda Odyssey, the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica offers available AWD, while FWD remains standard. The Pacifica also boasts a best-in-class maximum towing capacity of up to 3,600 lbs. A gas-powered Pacifica will produce 287 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque, while a hybrid version is good for 260 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque. Mileage ranges from 17-19 MPG in the city and 25-28 MPG on the highway for a non-hybrid Pacifica, while the hybrid gets a combined fuel economy of 30 MPG.
It’s vital to note that most of the fuel savings you’ll experience with a hybrid Pacifica are eliminated with AWD. An electronic stability control system enhances handling through sensors that communicate necessary throttle and brake adjustments, but you can experience slow shifts with the nine-speed automatic transmission. The 2025 Odyssey contains a 10-speed automatic transmission and an equivalent FWD fuel economy rating of 19 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway. There’s no hybrid option for the Odyssey.
The US auto market’s hybrid minivan with the best fuel economy is Kia’s 2025 Carnival, with a 33 MPG combined rating. This Kia also matches the Pacifica’s maximum horsepower and Torque. Honda’s 2025 Odyssey slightly trails the Pacifica’s horsepower at 280 but matches its 262 lb.-ft. of torque. Toyota’s Sienna has less horsepower and torque than the Odyssey, the Pacifica, and the Carnival at 245 and 176 lb.-ft., respectively. The Pacifica barely beats the Odyssey in maximum towing capacity with a 100-lb. difference.
Tech overview
Chrysler’s 2025 Pacifica contains standard wireless features such as wireless smartphone charging, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The upgraded sound system impresses with a 20-speaker Harman Kardon setup boasting a 10” subwoofer, but there’s too much of a quality difference between this configuration and the base version with only six speakers. A mid-level Limited trim has 13 speakers.
Drivers also receive speed-sensitive volume and can view data like playlists on the 10.1” central touchscreen, which accommodates up to five user profiles. The 2025 Pacifica features standard voice command capability and familiar resources like Amazon’s Alexa. This minivan’s digital instrument cluster measures 7”.
The rear row’s entertainment system includes dual-10” HD seat back-mounted displays with Amazon Fire TV built-in. These displays can stream separately or split content. An optional FamCAM feature allows drivers to view their car’s entire cabin with a split-screen view and automatic day/night modes, helping mitigate road distractions.
This Chrysler’s connectivity is elevated with the 4G LTE WiFi hotspot. Interior ambient lighting helps set the mood alongside favorite music tracks while rain-detecting windshield wipers add an additional layer of convenience. You can use the Chrysler app to perform remote vehicle commands, schedule service appointments, and more.
Honda’s 2025 Odyssey contains a smaller infotainment display measuring 9”, a digital instrument cluster equivalent in size to the Pacifica at 7”, and a less dynamic rear entertainment system with a single 12.8” monitor instead of multiple displays. However, the Odyssey contains multi-zone audio, which the Pacifica lacks. Multi-zone audio allows drivers to play audio in certain sections of the vehicle while keeping other areas quiet.
While the 2025 Odyssey’s standard audio system has one additional speaker than the Pacifica’s, its available sound setup is far less advanced, with nine fewer speakers. This Honda also shares the Pacifica’s use of wireless smartphone charging, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
Safety capabilities
Both the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) and the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) evaluate vehicle passenger crash protection capabilities. The IIHS awarded the 2025 Pacifica its second-highest score of Top Safety Pick, while the NHTSA gave this Chrysler its peak rating of five stars. Let’s take a closer look at some of the standard safety features helping form these grades.
Full-speed forward collision warning with active braking is able to warn of impending frontal impacts with obstacles like cars and cyclists before initiating automatic braking. Pedestrian automatic emergency braking mirrors this feature’s functionality with a design that is more attuned to areas like city environments.
Adaptive cruise control goes above and beyond, keeping you at a safe distance from other vehicles at higher speeds through automatic acceleration and braking with stop-and-go traffic compatibility.
The lane departure warning alert with lane-keeping assist system is significant with its ability to warn drivers of lane drifting without an active turn signal before implementing subtle corrective steering, as many competing systems limit their lane-keeping features to audible and visual alerts. However, you won’t receive automatic assistive steering with the blind-spot monitoring system.
If reversing into a parking spot makes you anxious, the Parksense rear park assist system will warn you of obstacles in your path and activate automatic braking if necessary to help you avoid a collision. Optional safety features for the 2025 Pacifica include a 360-degree surround view camera, Parksense front park assist, and parallel and perpendicular parking assist.
Quick rival comparison
As of now, the IIHS hasn’t rated the 2025 Odyssey’s crash protection capabilities, but this Honda shares the 2025 Pacifica’s NHTSA score of five stars. One feature that the 2025 Odyssey has that you won’t find within the 2025 Pacifica is traffic sign recognition, which communicates information like posted speed limits on the display.

Final verdict
The 2025 Pacifica is due for a significant refresh, which is why we’re rating it below the 2025 Odyssey at 8.2/10 overall. Still, it was the US’ best-selling minivan in 2023 for several reasons. Its second-row configuration is one of the most versatile, with a driver’s ability to easily stow the seats and open up more cargo space. The rear entertainment system is dynamic, with dual monitors that can operate in sync or separately, and the in-car vacuum is a family-friendly feature that families everywhere can appreciate.
The Pacifica’s tech is also on par with the 2025 Odyssey in terms of its inclusion of wireless features such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and smartphone charging. While a dramatic restyling is likely right around the corner, drivers preferring a more traditional minivan exterior design might prefer the 2025 Pacifica over its Odyssey counterpart.
