Exterior spotlight
The 2025 Urus S’ exterior design includes a muscular look with more definition than previous years. Specific areas reflecting this design philosophy include the front and rear bumpers, in addition to fresh wheel arches and the carbon fiber painted hood. Below the wheel arches are 22” or 23” wheels with a front steel skid plate, creating a confident stance and adding durability. Drivers can match the carbon fiber painted hood with an optional carbon fiber roof and will receive exhaust tailpipes with new stainless brushed steel and a front steel skid plate.
Finishes for wheel rims include:
- Titanium Matt
- Diamond Finished
- (New) Titanium Matt Diamond Finished
- Shiny Silver

- Orange
Move into the Performante model, and you’ll receive more lightweight carbon-fiber exterior components for noticeable weight reduction aiding performance. Other standard features include a redesigned diffuser and aero lip heightening downforce and stability at greater speeds and large 23” wheels.
The hybrid SE contains updated lines optimizing rear downforce and cooling performance, a new floating bonnet, and headlight clusters with matrix LED tech. These matrix headlights contain a design signature giving a nod to the Lamborghini bull’s tail. Bookending this hybrid super SUV is a taillamp grille inspired by prior Lamborghini models like the Gallardo.
Quick rival comparison
There’s a strong argument for the case that the 2025 Urus’ exterior outshines its competition. While this Lamborghini’s exterior will stick out from any other SUV on the road, it combines this flair with more traditional SUV proportions, which models like Ferrari’s Purosangue don’t emphasize. Bentley’s Bentayga achieves similar proportions but is plainer on its outside, similar to Porsche’s Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid. In our view, Aston Martin’s DBX is this model’s closest competitor in terms of exterior design, with a balance of flair and tradition.
Interior close-up
Lamborghini’s 2025 Urus contains an interior reminiscent of a jet with elements like a red flip cover over the ignition button, a shifter akin to a jet throttle, and the presence of more physical buttons. There’s carbon fiber accents and faux-suede trim aplenty, and the backseat has surprisingly good space. Interior storage solutions for smaller items include door pockets and a bin behind the floating center stack. Cargo capacity measures 22 cubic feet (cu. ft.), but this number decreases to 20 cu. ft. when you opt for available rear bucket seats.
Getting behind the wheel of a 2025 Urus S means receiving comfortable leather surfaces and an extensive selection of customizations via the Ad Personam package. Similar to its exterior, the Performante uses lightweight materials. These materials include Alcantara and carbon fiber, which work well alongside dark tones featuring contrast stitching and model-exclusive Performante logos.
The SE Hybrid boasts anodized aluminum trim details in addition to new panel and dashboard coverings, solidifying a lightweight feel. Redesigned air vents contain a more aggressive shape via toucheds sharper angles, and a higher number of physical buttons beneath the dashboard display provide the tactile driving experience that many drivers crave. Trim details within the hybrid version’s interior flaunt the recognizable Y shape design from Lamborghini Centro Stile, and all seats contain heating.
Selecting an SE Hybrid also yields an air quality management system with ionization to purify the air along with a luggage and cargo management system featuring tailored compartments and restraints easing loading and unloading.

We don’t consider it a stretch to highlight Bentley’s Bentayga as the 2025 Lamborghini’s most significant interior competitor in the super SUV category. The Bentley Bentayga contains handcrafted wood veneers, dark tint diamond brush aluminum, and 15 leather upholstery colors in six color splits.
Power and performance
The 2025 Lamborghini Urus S and Performante non-hybrid models deliver 657 horsepower and 627 lb.-ft. of torque via a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine. These performance specs translate to 0-60 MPH times of 3.1 seconds and 2.8 seconds for the S and Performante, respectively. Top speeds for the S and Performante clock in at 189.5 MPH and 190 MPH. Drivers will get a 16 MPG combined fuel economy with both of these models and a maximum RPM of 6,800.
A 2025 Urus S and Performante contain a permanent all-wheel drive (AWD) configuration with active torque vectoring and a roll stabilization system with continuous and immediate response. Their chassis optimizes speed with an integral lightweight body in aluminum composite and an adaptive air suspension system that helps soak up road imperfections. Exhaust sounds have received a sound restyling, providing enhanced feedback in the cabin for a sportier experience. A new muffler also refines exhaust sounds at all RPMs.
Drive modes for non-hybrid 2025 Urus models include:
- Strada (city roads)
- Sport (enhanced responsiveness)
- Corsa (maximum performance)
- Terra (general off-road surfaces)
- Neve (snow and ice)
- Sabbia (sand or fine gravel)
The 2025 Urus SE hybrid produces 789 horsepower and 701 lb.-ft. of torque for a 0-60 MPH time of 3.4 seconds. Fuel consumption is in the type approval stage, but it’s estimated to be around 18 combined MPG. This all-new Urus hybrid model contains a permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor, but its powertrain could benefit from more speed to better distinguish itself from its non-hybrid counterparts.
Quick rival comparison
Regarding rivals’ performance, Porsche’s Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid offers the best mileage at 19 MPG combined. If you’re seeking the highest horsepower figures among the 2025 Urus’ rivals, Ferrari’s Purosangue will satisfy with 715 horsepower. However, this Ferrari’s torque is relatively lower at 528 lb.-ft.
Tech overview
The 2025 Urus packs plenty of advanced tech to reflect its jet fighter-like interior appearance. This Lamborghini’s navigation system goes above and beyond with online smart routing, optimizing your trip’s efficiency, first/last mile navigation that thrives in complex environments like urban areas, and real-time traffic information. Lamborghini continues to enhance this navigation system, which includes a 3D city view feature and over-the-air software updates.
This super SUV contains a new rear seat entertainment system with an integrated Netflix app and smartphone mirroring functionality, which is complemented by an in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot. In addition to more physical buttons, the front infotainment touchscreen provides haptic feedback, a width that’s 2.2” wider in the SE, and voice command compatibility. Your favorite music will play through a Bang & Olufsen audio system with 3D sound technology, and the SE’s center screen contains more intuitive graphics.
These graphics allow you to control any of the vehicle’s features with a finger swipe via the center display’s endless carousel design. You’ll find relevant information relating to the Urus SE Hybrid on the digital instrument cluster, which you can control with the steering wheel. When away from this super SUV, the Lamborghini Unica app helps you perform tasks like remote vehicle commands and service scheduling.
A practical SE performance-related tech feature is the model’s push-to-pass button on the steering wheel’s right side. This button provides maximum performance for the length of your overtake or acceleration.
Quick rival comparison
Tech enthusiasts searching for an alternative to the 2025 Urus can find satisfaction in Porsche’s 2025 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, which includes highlights like a 10.9” dedicated passenger display, a 12.65” curved center display, and the ability to drive 35 miles on all-electric power.
Safety capabilities
The 2025 Lamborghini Urus contains an Era-Glonass system, which facilitates emergency response capabilities such as automatic calls to emergency services and GPS tech to locate the vehicle so assistance can arrive as quickly as possible. In addition to an anti-theft alarm, 2025 Urus drivers can gain peace of mind knowing that if their vehicle does get taken, Lamborghini offers a stolen vehicle locator.
Handing the 2025 Urus off to a valet attendant doesn’t require worry with the Valet Alert feature, which can set speed limits for staff, supply location status, and establish boundaries for areas in which it can be driven.
If you’re lending the 2025 Urus, Curfew Alert sets time limits for the guest’s driving. Similar to the Valet Alert feature, Urus owners can program Curfew Alert alongside Speed Alert and Geofencing Alert to ensure their SUV is moving at a safe pace in proper bounds.
Driver-assist tech within the 2025 Urus includes:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts
- Forward collision mitigation
- Lane departure warnings with lane-keeping assist
- Front pedestrian detection
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Perimeter approach lights
- Surround view camera system
- Brake assist (works with ceramic disc brakes)
Lamborghini also offers an optional night-vision camera within the 2025 Urus, which covers the model’s forward-facing view. In addition to detecting other vehicles, this night-vision camera can highlight animals and pedestrians in on- and off-road environments. The IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) and the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) typically don’t rate the crash protection capabilities of super SUVs such as the 2025 Lamborghini Urus.
The downside of the Urus’ eye-catching design
While the 2025 Urus is overflowing with attractive features we listed above, its overstated design approach won’t be a proper fit for drivers looking to hit the road under the radar. Even if you don’t mind the idea of turning heads every which way while behind the wheel of this super SUV, it can attract the wrong kind of attention, similar to Tesla’s Cybertruck.
The Tesla dashcam YouTube channel, Wham Baam Teslacam, uploaded a 13-minute video showing several instances of drivers expressing hatred towards this easy-to-spot Cybertruck in multiple ways. Examples of these road rage attacks, which appeared to be unprovoked, included:
- A motorcycle slapping a Cybertruck’s side mirror loose
- A driver attempting to throw a water bottle at the truck
- Two people dumping a can of paint onto the vehicle’s roof
While both the Cybertruck and 2025 Urus contain flashy designs, one advantage to driving the Cybertruck is that it’s much more durable with features like a stainless steel exoskeleton. However, it’s fair to argue that the Cybertruck’s highly angular design has sparked much more controversy compared to the Lamborghini Urus, which contains more traditional proportions. The 2025 Urus has enough safety features that one won’t have to worry much when leaving their car unattended, but its road and parking presence is worth noting.
Final verdict
The 2025 Lamborghini Urus is a stellar vehicle in form and function, deserving a 9/10 overall rating. Its mid-cycle additions no doubt justify a purchase for those on the fence between buying the 2025 production year or one of its predecessors, and the addition of a hybrid configuration diversifies the model’s lineup, helping it more readily compete against its rivals.
Buyer consideration
Our biggest gripe is the eye-watering cost of this super SUV. While a vehicle in this class will always be expensive, quality competitors like the 2025 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid start at $157,000—almost $100,000 less than the most affordable 2025 Urus. However, your money will be well spent if you have the budget.
