At MotoPickers we like our Dodge cars, and if you want big towing capability in a modest sized SUV, consider the Dodge Durango, which can tow more than any other midsize SUV. It has a spacious cabin with room for seven passengers and bags of cargo. The infotainment system has an 8.4-inch touch screen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It’s not the biggest, but it works well. Some hard plastics are too visible in lower spec models, but there are leather and soft touch surfaces on upper trims.

Dodge offers the 2024 Durango with four engine options: a 293-horsepower 3.6-liter V6, a 360-horsepower 5.7-liter V8, a 475-horsepower 6.4-liter V8 (SRT 392) and a 710-horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged V8 (SRT Hellcat). Models with the V6 are rated to tow 6,200 pounds when properly equipped, while rear-wheel-drive models with the 5.7-liter V8 can tow up to 7,400 pounds (7,200 pounds with all-wheel drive). This rating jumps to 8,700 pounds, however, for the fantastic SRT 392 and Hellcat trims, as well as models with the 5.7-liter V8 and max tow package.
